Despite living in Milton Keynes I had not heard of the local registered charity Emily's Star until I was asked to deliver a donation of tiny knitted mittens and hats. Emily’s Star raise awareness of Trisomy 18 the UK’s second most common syndrome after Downs. and provide neonatal boxes of gifts for mums and their premature babies. The registered charity is named after the founders own daughter, Emily who passed away at 26 days after an emergency cesarian section and having been found to have Trisomy 18. Unlike Downs Syndrome, Trisomy 18 is usually fatal, less than ten percent of babies getting to see their first birthday but some living past their tenth.
I researched Emily's Star and was impressed. However, a few months later on a shoot photographing Acorn House a freshly decorated small office block on Midsummer Boulevard my love for the charity began to unravel like a ball of wool. Acorn House is run by Milton Keynes Community Foundation and its CEO Julia Anne Upton MBE had some years previously allowed an abortion clinic [which the regulator Care Quality Commission describe as a "busy clinic, open six days a week. On average it carries out approximately 34 abortions each week"] to take up a tenancy. I have been raising awareness of this human abattoir since 2010. Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: [Isaiah 59:7]. During 2014 there were 234 babies with Trisomy 18 murdered by their mothers in abortion facilities like Acorn House, in England and Wales. These were all babies that needed their mums loving arms to comfort them no matter how short their lives were forecast to last. But in abortion facilities such as provided by MK Community Foundation, these tiny babies are tossed in the biological trash or liquidated by high powered vacuum. And now here I was taking photos and noticing that Emily's Star new office was inside this house of horrors!
Why on earth would a charity that champions Trisomy 18 babies want to operate under the same roof as an abortion business which kills Trisomy 18 babies? Do they not see any compromise or at least a hypocrisy? Emily’s Star website gives thanks to MK Community Foundation for their support and funding! Yes-FUNDING! It is, therefore, reasonable to suggest that money received for murdering a baby, maybe even a Trisomy 18 baby is used towards paying rent to Julia Anne Upton's MK Community Foundation who then, in turn, give said money to Emily's Star as a grant to further its work in raising awareness of Trisomy 18 babies! My heart bleeds over this.
I am not calling for a boycott on supporting Emily's Star. But I have most urgent advice.
Firstly, I ask Emily's Star to think about the damage to its public relations by remaining in a building that 1,756 babies per year enter but only their mums exit alive.
Secondly, that Emily's Star give notice forthwith to vacate Julia Anne Upton's Acorn House.
Thirdly, that Emily's Star cease henceforth from receiving monies from Julia Anne Upton's MK Community Foundation who facilitate and receive monies from said infanticide, which is nothing less than blood money! Money earned via the destruction of the very babies that Emily's Star aim to help. When it comes to maintaining a charity: reputation is everything!
Lastly, I would most strongly request that CEO Julia Anne Upton MBE brings to a swift end all these parties. There is nothing to celebrate. The right thing to do is cease the slaughter whilst you are still CEO and arrange a fitting funeral service in remembrance of all those infants who have been murdered on your watch.
God tells us to have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them [Ephesians 5:11]. All babies deserve our nurture and defence. Men need to rise up and protect these babies that are so readily destroyed by their own mothers. Over 98% of abortions are for nothing more than social reasons! In God's eye's there is no excuse for the shedding of this most innocent of blood.
UPDATE: 27th June 2017
Today, almost a year after this article asked Emily's Star to consider moving out of the abortion facility that kills Trisomy 18 babies: they moved four miles across town and into a new office owned by the same abortion facility that they just left. I have now lost the little respect I had left for this charity. If Emily's Star truly cared for ANY baby, it would show it in its actions and not just words! The time to boycott is NOW!
